Firstly i created a template for the inner cd panel. (29.4cm x 12.5cm)
I copied and pasted this image into the template then changed the locked background so that it matched the background of the image (yellow/white)
By pressing 'CMD T,' I free transformed the image which means i can resize it.
You can see if you look closely, a faded line which separates the image from the locked background. I wanted to blend them together. So what i did was hover over Filter > Vanishing Point.
Then i selected the four corners of the image but left roughly a 1 cm gap so that i could brush and blend over that line i want to get rid off.
You see that white/yellow (background colour) fluffy ball in middle, that is the paint brush.
So i went over the obvious edges, cleaning and blending around the image.
When i pressed OK the obvious lines disappeared and now the background the image blend perfectly together. It looks like one object now doesnt it! :)
I had to create a template for where the cd will be placed.
So this is what it looks like so far. An image of the artist still needs to be added as well as text containing information on the production of the album.
Adding another image:
I decided to use this image of myself as it brings out the 'sweetness' (not to blow my own horn or anything)
Also as the background is very similar to that of the inner panel, making it easier for me to edit.
Copied and pasted onto the inner panel. Then resized it.
Time to blend the photography in with the background.
Layer > New Fill Layer > Gradient.
I changed the 'Style' to reflect and adjusted the 'Angle' to 180.
Played around with this gradient bar until I was happy in the way the gradient helped blend the two contents together.
Looking good, however i wanted the flower image to be seen more, so i decided to send the layer to the front.
Used the 'Magic Tool' to erase the unwanted parts of the flower.
