Summer Lessons- First Digipak

So before we broke up for our summer holidays, we were given a taster of what our A2 media year would be like. One of the things we did during these lessons was make a digipak to the song we recorded as a group. When it came to designing my digipak, Im gonna be honest and say that i struggled with this task as I had never really used photoshop properly. The first thing I decided to do was to keep my digipak simple at this time, as I thought when it came to designing my real digipak that is when i could really show what I had learnt about using adobe photoshop.

When it came to designing the digipak cover itself, I thought that I should use pretty basic colours and pictures, as I thought the coulours and pictures would capture the real meaning of the song itself. I also chose these images and colours for my digipak as I thought they would reallly symbolize the meaning of respect. And it also showed that the little girl was looking upto her big brother, which showed that she repected her big brother. I chose to put the image in the middle of the cd cover as I thought it would be a good place to situate the image as it is an obivous place and people always look in the middle of a cd cover.

I would say that im quite happy with my digipak, as even though I tried my best with my digipak and I know I could have tried a lot harder with my digipak. But as I became frustrated a number of times due to me not being able to use adobe photoshop, I decided to give up easily. When it comes to making my real digipak for my music video, I am going to take the time to learn how to use adobe photoshop properly and then put all my energy in to making the best digipak I could possible make.

    This is the finished image of my digi pak;
