The student video I have decided to review is the video from the song 'Fix You' by Coldplay.
In this music video I liked that that there is a narrative and performance aspect of the video instead of just one of them, and I think this video is an amplification video too. I also like the use of editing in this music video (I like the way things are black and white for them when they get bad news, and when things get better colour comes in).

Location played a big part  in the second half of this music video, and if it was anywhere else it would not have been as affect. At the location there were Christmas lights put up (I think) which made the mood of the music video seem lighter hearted because it is bright and colourful. I also like the use of the high angle/fast forward shot on the bridge as it connotes the idea of moving forward in life. Near the end of music video slow motion edits is used which gives a more romantic feel, almost like everything slowed down for them.
