So Sophie and Zahra were in at 9am to get started on editing. I came in at 12:15, during the time i was not there yet they managed to upload most of the base tracks onto Final Cut and synch them to the actual music. Although not much was done within that 3 hours the organising made it easier for me to edit when i came in at lunch. We've also realised that i've adapted to the programme quicker than expected and also I know what i am doing when im editing - so they decided that I should become head editor. Its a privilege yet also i knew that i would have to come in everyday, it is a big role to take on however if this will speed the process up then i was up for it!
We are still up to the first verse, second section. This is because we went back to the intro (where the drumming comes in) and added some fast flashback scenes just before Charlie Jayne (me) starts singing. As the drumming was the fastest part of the whole song, we thought it would be good to make use of it and show off our 'editing to the beat' there. Although the clips have not been cut perfect to the beat - they are pretty accurate and so we left it as that. If we have time i will go back on that section and make it to 'my perfect standards'.
Also for a brief moment we all got worried, due to thinking that we lost some of our clips as they were not on the memory cards, video drive or my macbook. These clips were the tuesdays filming in the dress at Golders Hill Park, containing one very important basetrack! We were gutted at this point until I decided to check my macbook again because i knew that they were somewhere! I was certain that they did not get deleted.
Yep. We found them in the very end. What a relief!!!!
