Editing Day 1:

So on monday we finally begun the process of editing our music video, which was a relief as the deadline is fast approaching. So the first thing we done on monday was sort through all the clips we had which totaled to 200 clips. We then had to decide what clips we were going to use for our music video, this took a long time as we had to check through every clip to see if was suitable to use. Unfortunately I had a lesson after lunch so I had to leave Rosie and Charlene to sort through the clips whilst I went to my next class. After class I went back to media to continue the process of editing our music video. When i got back to the media suite Charlene and Tomi had begun putting our clips and editing them on to Final Cut Pro.  As I wasn't very confident with using Final cut Pro last year, I decided to try and have a go at using it more this year.  So as Charlene had been editing for quite a while, I said that I would take over from her so that she could have a little break. So whilst Charlene had a break i begun editing out the footage we would not be using. I think I worked very well using Final Cut Pro as I really got the hang of using markers and the razor blade tool to cut out certain bits of our footage that we didn't want to use.

The first thing we had to with our clips was begin making our Rough cut music video so that we could upload it on to blogger and get audience feedback. We decided to just have our Rough cut length at just over a minute. As this would give our audience a glimpse of what to expect from our music video. So after spending a long while editing unfortunately it was time to leave the media suite as college was over. I would say that our first day of editing was very productive as we now have an idea of how our music video is going to turn out.

Just have to add images..
