Anaylsis of Adele's: Someone Like you

So after deciding to change our song at the last minute we realised that our music video would have some comparisons to Adele's Someone Like you music video.

The main reason for using Adele's: Someone like you as inspiration is because of the locations she has used. I mean she used a various well known locations around London, which I think is really good as it is showing that each location might be a memorie for you.
Another reason we chose Adele as inspiration is becuase of the style of editing used I mean the whole music video is in black and white. I feel this makes the music video more effective as it is setting the mood for the music video, In which I would say is sad, lonely and depressed. When you hear Adele's name you immediately know that in her songs she is talking about an ex boyfriend, so we thought she would be the perfect inspiration to us. As our music video is all about our artist Charlie Jayne singing about an ex boyfriend aswell.
As you can see the mis en scene at the beginning of the music video Adele is wearing dark clothes such as black trousers or leggings and a black jacket. Again I feel this links to our music video as we are going to have our artist wearing dark clothes such as tight with Doc Martens and a jacket. I feel that by wearing dark clothes it is immediately telling the audience that the girl is sad and lonely you can also tell this from the emotion on Adele's face, she looks lonely and lost.
