Editing Day 2
For day 2 Me and Sophie went in early at 9 to continue the editing, we found out that we had to add all the base tracks, so it could be easier for us to edit. We found it quite challenging because we had to line up Charlene's miming at the right time as the lyrics.
After that Charlene came into help us at lunch time and she did some really nice edits while i helped her. Rosie soon came in and helped as well to give some good feedback and do some blogs. While Tomi popped around to check on how we was doing because she had drama rehearsal.

Production of Music Video: SCREENGRABS OF EDITING.
This last screen grab is a zoomed in timeline from the fastest edit I (Charlene) done, to make sure it is edited to the beat I had to zoom into the timeline and mark done the distinctive beats, then cut the clips to them markers. Tomi helped me out with this.
Editing Day 5: Sound Effects
So in today's lesson me and Zahra decided whilst Charlene and Tomi were putting the finishing touches to our music video we would begin making the sound track for the beginning of our music video. By sound track what I mean is that we have decided to add in a few sound effects before the music starts playing. This is because we feel that as we have a number of different shots before our actually music video begins by adding in sound effects it would flow better.
Here as you can see I have decided to add in a few screen grabs of the process of me and Zahra making the soundtrack for the sound effects. When making our soundtrack we used a programme called soundtrack pro which I think is brilliant as there is so many thing you can do with this programme.
When it came to getting the right sound effects for our music video, we found this process really hard as we had to make sure that the sound effects sounded realistic enough to be in a music video. When it had finally chosen what sound effects we wanted to use which included a clock ticking and birds chirping we then had to cut the size of the sound effect down. This was because the were too long and we only needed the sound effects to last for a few seconds.
Once me and Zahra had put the sound effects in the right order on the sound track pro line we then got Rosie, Charlene and Tomi to listen to our sound effects to see if we had done a good job. So that we would than be able to export and then import our sound track to final cut pro.
I would say that I am really pleased with how our sound effects turned out in our music video as I feel that they were very realistic and flowed with with our shots at the beginning of our music video.

The screening
I think it's a good way to get everyone's opinion on what you've done well, as it's on a big screen and clear to everyone how you've executed it. Also to get improvements on what we could have done better, so this will improve our skills if we go on to study Media Studies at university. Woking in a team has been so important and i have learnt patience, co operation and improved all my editing, filming and performance skills. On the 6th of december we're going to the cinema near our college! This is so we can get audience feedback and view everyone else's music videos. It's a good experience to watch how everyone else's differ to your own, how they edited it, filmed it different locations, costumes and different types of shots.
Editing Day 5
For this day me and Sohie did some work on the soundtrack, for the beginning of our video. We had to find out what noises we wanted to use and when to place them so everything could be in sync. After it was done we had to save it and transfer it to MOV. file so we could open it on final cut and edit it some more.
