Universal Music Group is one of the Big 4, (a major music company) with many big time artists signed to it's stringed labels like Island Def Jam, Decca and Mercury. These artists include Justin Bieber, Taylor Swift and Mariah Carey.
These big time artists are very similar to our genre and character in the video, as Bieber and Swift are both young. As for Carey, her style of singing is similar to the artist we have chosen. However as our song is British based we will use the record label Mercury Records UK which is the child company of Universal Music Group. Artists like Jay-Z, Noah and the Whale and Rihanna are signed to this record label.
We feel that Charlie Jayne will get more recognition through this record label as it is full of big time artists, she preforms her music in a way where many young audiences will be interested. Mercury Records could get her as big as Rihanna. Also Pixie Lott (the real singer of 'Use Somebody' is signed up to this label as well.)
